Vintage
Synth Rescue Kit - Korg Wavestation Series CD-ROM for Macintosh &
PC The Korg Wavestation family of synthesizers radically changed the world of music technology by moving away from the workstation/ROMpler approach, and instead making synth sounds for synth's sake. The Wavestation operates by "wave sequencing", whereby internal soundwaves are added together in series to produce tones that constantly evolve over time. If you're looking for meat and potatoes sounds (drums, piano, guitar), this is not the synth for you. But if you want lush pads, organic and flowing, this little baby will take you far. I have compiled over 180 sysex files containing thousands of patches for the Wavestation family of synthesizers. That means it's compatible with all members of the Wavestation family, including the Korg Legacy Collection Wavestation and the Digital Edition as well. This disc includes several Sysex patch librarians for both Macintosh and Windows PCs to make it easier to organize sounds into useful banks. As an added bonus, I've transferred many of the patches into a huge Emagic SoundDiver library, which makes it quite easy for editing and organizing patches, as well as for compiling banks of your favorite sounds to load into your synthesizer. This CD also features documentation which will be helpful to anyone who owns a member of the Wavestation family, including the Player's Guide, the Reference Guide, Voice Name List and Performance note. I've recently added a PDF that shows how to use the Sysex sounds on this disc with the Legacy Wavestation. All files shipped to you on CD-ROM that is compatible with both Macintosh & Windows PCs. This would make a wonderful addition to anyone who owns an Wavestation-class synthesizer. Breathe more life into your vintage Korg by using this cd! [This cd has been double-checked and does NOT contain copyrighted sounds from commercial developers.] |
